The purpose of these pages is to provide a starting point to information on the Internet about co-operative housing and to identify some of the needs in the housing co-operative movement today. Although the scope of this research is international, the base of the research is the housing co-operative movement is Canada.

Co-operative Housing Toolbox

The Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) is a co-operative association whose members are housing co-ops and related organizations in British Columbia.
Southern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association
SACHA serves as the regional federation of housing co-operatives and is financed by membership dues and fees for services. Membership is open to housing co-operatives located in southern Alberta (Red Deer and South), as well as other individuals and organizations which support SACHA's aims and accept the responsibilities of membership. SACHA has a sector membership agreement with the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada which requires membership in both organizations. Members enjoy benefits and services provided by both.
Northern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association
The Northern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association (NACHA) is a federation of Housing Cooperatives. We provide a variety of services to our membership and to the public who are interested in finding out more about cooperative housing.
Golden Horseshoe Co-operative Housing Federation
GH-CHF has about 40 members – all also members of CHF Canada. GH-CHF provides a range of services for members and the general public.
GH-CHF takes part in the lobbying activities organized nationally by CHF Canada. A staff member represents the association at CHF Canada's Federations Committee.
Central Ontario Co-operative Housing Federation
COCHF takes an active part in municipal, provincial and national lobbying activities co-ordinated by CHF Canada. A staff member represents the association at CHF Canada’s Federations Committee.

The Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT) is a member-supported organization representing more than 45,000 people living in more than 160 non-profit housing co-operatives located in Toronto and York Region.
The Co-operative Housing Association of Eastern Ontario
The Co-operative Housing Association of Eastern Ontario (CHASEO) is a co-operation of co-ops. Its members are housing co-ops in the Eastern Ontario region, co-op staff associations and sector-related organizations.
