Where can I learn more about co-operatives?
One can learn about co-operatives from a variety of sources. Co-operative organisations provide considerable information about themselves, especially through their apex organisations, internationally, nationally, and provincially.
In 2005, the BCICS Associate Dr. Cheryl Lans conducted a national survey of post-secondary courses offered in Canada. Surprisingly, less than 1% of post secondary students have access to take a course about co-operatives. Dr. Lans findings are published in University teaching of co-operative business management and philosophy in Canadian universities. Download this publication below.
